I Do Believe In Fairies, I Do, I Do!

My children are obsessed with the story of Peter Pan. We watch Hook, the Disney version of Peter Pan, and the movie (English) version of Peter Pan. I was so excited when I saw that Peter Pan was coming to TUTS. I'm on their email list, so I tried to pre-order tickets only to find that they would cost WAY TOO MUCH for our family of four to go. I was bummed out until....

So, here are the kids at the performance at the local community college. They loved it!
"Arrrrgh....!"
"I do believe in fairies, I do! I do!"

Friday Family Fun Night: GREEN OUT

Friday night we went to Legacy's homecoming game. Thursday was the pep rally, and Nate GREENED OUT with his crazy hair and spirit shirt!

Anna grabbed a set of pom poms as soon as she could get her hands on them. She loved watching the cheerleaders! Her bow is crazy in this pic, but it's still sweet!

They are so proud to be Legacy Lions!

Friday Family Fun Night: 6 years

It just doesn't seem possible that my sweet baby boy is already 6 years old. He's been spoiled with a BIG birthday party every year, so this time we told him that we were going to keep it small and simple. On Thursday, family came over to celebrate.

 Cheers! Nate's 6!!!

Nate wanted cake balls for his family birthday party. Yummy! Thank you, LouLou!

Friday night I told him that he could choose 3 friends from Legacy to have over for a sleep over. Somehow, he got me to agree to 4 kiddos. I brought them home after school, then we headed to
Chuck E. Cheese.

Yay! Aunt Kristina and Matt stopped by to hang out!

After a big night at Chuck E. Cheese, we headed home for cake and gifts. Nate loved his Power Ranger cake!

 Playing the wii
 Movie time...
The boys stayed up until midnight. I thought that it could have been a lot worse.
Happy Birthday, Nate!

Friday Family Fun Night: Belle

This Friday Family Fun Night was inspired by my princess...

LouLou came over and we took the kids to a yummy dinner and then went to see Beauty and the Beast in 3D. The highlight was Anna's sweet dance that she performed as the credits played. Here is a pic of the kids in their 3D glasses (notice Anna holding her Belle princess doll)!

Friday Family Fun Night: The Hestons

This morning was FBCTW's monthly Mom & Me play date. I work M,W,F so usually I am unable to attend. Since Wednesday was our last day of school for Christmas break, we were excited to join a bunch of our friends at Chuck E Cheese this morning.
  Anna and Peyton

Tonight we spent the evening w/one of our favorite families; although we did have fun (it is Friday Family Fun Night after all), I ended the night w/tears in my eyes. Every once in a while a friend comes along and challenges you to be a better mom, wife, and friend. Holly, thank you for your friendship!
Katy isn't that far away, right?

Friday Family Fun Night: Football!

We started our Friday Family Fun Night at...
We had an hour to spare between when school let out and when our LPCA football game began, so we took full advantage of the extra time.
She is as sweet as the cupcake she devoured!
I am blessed to teach at what I believe with my whole heart is the greatest school on the planet! Legacy Prep is a college preparatory Christian Academy whose mission is to help prepare our students to be college worthy character witnesses for Christ. We are a University Model school, so our elementary students only attend on M,W and our intermediate, junior high, and high school students attend on M,W,F. Tuesdays and Thursdays the parents or co-teachers work with their children at home. Nate is a Kindergartner at Legacy, and I am blessed beyond words to have him at LPCA. I cherish every moment I have with him on Tuesdays and Thursdays, he is learning so much, and everything is taught in light of scripture! Nate loves Jesus, is memorizing Bible verses, and is learning all about how everything that the Bible says is true!
This week our UNDEFEATED football team had a pep rally.

Wesley, Nate, and Cody
Nate and the football players. He adores them, and I cannot imagine a more wonderful group of boys for him to look up to!

Nate and his best buddy Cody at the football game.

Tonight, our team won, so we finished this season without a single loss! Yay LPCA!!!

Anna WAS at the game with us although I didn't get any pics of her. We chased around "Roary" our school mascot, but we never did catch up to her when I had my camera ready.

My sweet friend, Steph, heard about our Football Friday Family Fun Night and left this little gift on my desk this morning. It was a perfect way to top off our evening. Nothing like oreos and milk before bed. Yummy!
