My 1st Grader

I love the FOSS Science kits we're using at LPCA this year. Here is Nate with his rock collection for Science class. Anna was a great assistant; she helped Nate collect the big rocks!

I cherish my days with Nate on Tuesday/Thursdays. He's got so much personality, and I love that I have extra time with him during the week. Here's a pic on Nate doing Math with Mommy!

Morning assembly with his best buddy, Chase.

During assembly, Nate got to hold the Bible for the Pledge to the Bible. This boy was proud! :)

Friday Family Fun Night: GREEN OUT

Friday night we went to Legacy's homecoming game. Thursday was the pep rally, and Nate GREENED OUT with his crazy hair and spirit shirt!

Anna grabbed a set of pom poms as soon as she could get her hands on them. She loved watching the cheerleaders! Her bow is crazy in this pic, but it's still sweet!

They are so proud to be Legacy Lions!

1st Grade

I cannot believe my little boy started 1st grade last month! He's already learned so much this year at LPCA. I could go on an on about how our school has blessed our lives, but most importantly he's mine ALL mine on Tuesday and Thursdays. What a joy to have all day with my little guy twice a week! We work hard on our off-campus days, but at least they are spent together. Since I only have him until he's 18, I'll take all of the time I can get.

Here are our 1st day of 1st grade pictures!

Kinder Grad

My sweet baby boy graduated from Kindergarten! I am so proud of all that he learned and accomplished this year. Nate is funny, outgoing, and loves Jesus. I could not be a prouder Mommy!

Each year the kids receive a Character Award. This year, Nate was given the award for being a "Reverent Spirit." The definition is: Recognizing and respecting a person because of their position and authority regardless of their personality. His verse was, "Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake." 1 Peter 2:13-14.
Mrs. Pirkle said that Nate wasn't perfect, but that when corrected he always worked hard to submit himself to authority and correct his behavior. Hearing that filled my mommy heart with pride.

Pics from the Ceremony...

One of my favorite parts of the ceremony is when they show a baby pic of each of the kids. All of the kids were laughing and squealing when they saw the other kids' pictures. They really got a kick out of Nate's.

This is Nate's "OH YEAH...I got cash from my LouLou" face!

Here are a few pics from Nate's class party!

Little Lions' Football Camp

What an awesome day to be a Legacy Lion! The junior high and high school boys from Legacy held a football camp for the elementary boys. Nate thought he was big stuff hanging out with the older boys from school. He wore his medal proudly on the way home!

RFE

Legacy PCA held its annual Race for Education at Burrough's Park this year. I think it was our best RFE yet! We raced a 5K, and Nate did an awesome job!

What a perfect day! The sun was shining, the Legacy dads grilled up a yummy lunch, the race was a blast, and field day was a success. Here I am with my big Kindergarten racer!!!
